Today was a busy and somewhat stressful day after a full day (yesterday) of sleeping due to being sick. In the midst of making phone calls about jobs and running around getting copies made of job applications, I realized I hadn’t eaten lunch.<\/p>\n
Instead of coming right home after I got the copies made (Lazer Quick ROCKS, by the way) I stopped by Burger King.<\/p>\n
Now I hate ketchup and lettuce on my burgers, and I really am not all that fond of mayonnaise either.<\/p>\n
So I ordered my usual double Whopper with cheese and bacon, no ketchup, no lettuce, easy mayonnaise, heavy onion and heavy pickles.<\/p>\n
I was charged extra for the bacon which becomes important to the story a little later on.<\/p>\n
When I get home, I take my Whopper out of the sack.<\/p>\n
Even before I unwrap it something feels off or wrong, and when I unwrap it I figure out what is wrong.<\/p>\n
I have a lot of pickles, a lot of onions, a little bit of mayonnaise, and a SINGLE meat patty with cheese and NO bacon at all.<\/p>\n
I paid $5.19 for a double Whopper with cheese and bacon.<\/p>\n
A single Whopper with cheese and no bacon is around $2.99; I’ve been massively overcharged for this sandwich.<\/p>\n
Now normally I simply grumble a lot (to myself and\/or to online friends) when fast food orders get messed up, but this one just made me angry. So I turned around and drove right back to Burger King.<\/p>\n
It got even better when I arrived at Burger King, sandwich in hand. The cashier who originally took my order reads the receipt and we both agree she rang it up correctly.<\/p>\n
She tells the cook she needs a ‘customer service’ on my order. He says, ‘Oh yeah, I knew I forgot the bacon on that one.’<\/p>\n
I don’t know who was more shocked, the cashier or me.<\/p>\n
She says, ‘You KNEW you forgot the bacon yet you said\/did nothing and just wrapped it up?”<\/p>\n
She then has to read the order to him twice because he’s also insisting it wasn’t a double Whopper in the first place.<\/p>\n
I then watch this guy fix my double Whopper. I doubt he had a clue I could see every move he made either.<\/p>\n
He’s so angry at the cashier and at me that when he gets done, he literally throws the wrapped double Whopper on the shelf.<\/p>\n
