I received a comment regarding the template here, as in how did I make it?
I didn’t make the template at all, it is one of the templates designed for Word Press. I’ve simply added a few plugins and removed the blogroll (so I have more room for MY links to sites I find interesting).
One of my favorite features is the filter for comments, as I get 10-30 spam comments per day every single day.
With the filter (found in settings, then discussion), I can list all urls, ips, content, domains, or e-mail addresses that I don’t wish to accept comments from. Any url, ip, content, domain, or email address in the filter automatically gets filtered into spam.
It takes 30 seconds to delete all the spam comments as a group, as opposed to 30 seconds each if I allow them to be queued individually for approval
Most templates designed for Word Press can be modified to your own taste (color, layout, etc). Templates that are not designed for Word Press would require a lot of adaptations to make them work properly.
